In a maverick move, Knight Riders franchise of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have sacked coach John Buchanan after a lot of brainstorming since the team fared badly in both the seasons of the high profile league.The Shah Rukh Khan-owned team failed to reach the semi-finals in both seasons. Buchanan was severely criticised by cricket pundits and fans alike for inducing more controversies in the team than confidence and his complex theories didn’t help his cause either. I think a coach should always realize that the players (and SRK of course in this case) are the real stars of the show, and not him. I wonder if Buchanan ever believed it.

How i wish this were true. My limit with jb came when kkr never once played the only player they had to have?! Why pay so much for mortaza and then bench him and charl while we get destroyed? I wish him well for his future but not as part of kkr please. Here’s to season 3 and thank you india for sharing your ipl with us here in cape town. Looking forward to watching on tv while you guys support srk, kkr and the ipl back home again.
