Akshay Kumar was said to be a staunch rival of Shah Rukh Khan and the other Khans too, but the actor in a latest interview has clarified that there is more similarity between him and SRK than other actors.
In an interview given to a news portal, Akshay Kumar exclaimed, “Shah Rukh Khan and I are the only actors in the current times who have attained this level of success all on our own, without any Godfather backing us. We came without any connections in Bollywood and still have managed to reach this stage by sheer hard work and determination.”

At last, Akshay has said something that he should hv realised long time back.. But he must understand another thing that SRK has been ruling the roost for the last 15yrs. n he still does.. Yes, Akshay’s films are doin well but only since d last 2-3yrs.. This wont last any further. So, no matter who does what, SRK remains the KING forever!

The media have a tendancy to create ’so-called’ wars against SRK and pitting him against other actors to simply generate hype and hysteria. Since, they are unable to dish out any ‘dirt’ on the King Khan, they attack his star status and creditibility at the box office.
They first did this by pitting him against Amitabh, Salman and now Akshay. All these actors are supertstars and vey succesful in their own right.
I do agree with Akshay’s statement and he has worked very hard and I have enjoyed some of his films. Though it took him longer than SRK to pave his way and reach to the level of stardom that he has today. I wish him all the best but, i strongly believe that all these actors have a space in the industry and nobody is better than the other. They have been entertaining audiences world over and only hope that they continue to be successful and provide wholesome entertainment.
I will always have a soft spot for Shah Rukh as I love all his films and he never fails to deliver the goods! Good going Shah Rukh, i love you baby, you rock!!!

Vee, I really agreed with your comment. Most of the problems Shahrukh had with his colleagues in the industry today were created by the media. I could recollect he had discussion with Akii in a function. He must have cleared many things with him. I always believe Shahrukh is a mature, articulate, intelligent and responsible actor and that is exactly what he is ‘cos he always display his sense of maturity in any situation he find himself. I respect him not only on entertainment but also on his way of life.
